Roots & Reckoning
Roots & Reckoning explored personal reckoning through surreal growth, fractured imagery, and layered domestic materials. Influenced by the diaristic logic of Frida Kahlo, Sarah Davis combined text, objects, and image in works that mirrored the instability of memory and emotional experience. Across the exhibition, improvised shelters and fragile support structures resisted tidy narratives of recovery, positioning care as labour and growth as something that took root through damage rather than resolution.
